Jamal Murray’s objects to the throwing incident sparked debate among analysts

During round 2 of the 2024 NBA playoff series, the Minnesota Timberwolves won against the Denver Nuggets in the second game. Jamal Murray, who sat out the first half, loudly disapproved of the referees.

Murray threw a warming pack from the bench area during the late first half. The hot pack skidded across the court, narrowly missing Towns’ foot as he tried to take a step forward. The game was momentarily halted as officials quickly removed the foreign object. Following Jamal Murray’s recent actions during a game, several NBA analysts have discussed what the NBA’s response should be. Some experts have suggested that Murray should be suspended, while others argue that his actions were not severe enough to warrant a suspension.

Draymond Green, a star player for the Golden State Warriors, has defended Murray’s actions, stating that he should not be suspended for just tossing a heat pack. However, Stephen A. Smith, host of the ESPN show ‘First Take’, believes that Murray should be suspended or at least fined heavily for his actions.
