In an impressive Game 4 of the NBA finals series, the Dallas Mavericks outplayed the Boston Celtics with a score of 122-84.
After losing three consecutive games, the Mavericks staged a remarkable comeback, raising hopes for their fans who feared they would lose the series. However, the win was not the only surprising factor for fans.
Another heartwarming moment occurred on the court that left fans delighted. After the game, Kyrie Irving extended Father’s Day wishes to his dad and Doncic’s dad in a post-game interview.
Irving watched the video of his dad and Doncic’s dad hugging each other on the court after the win. The Mavericks guard laughed and got emotional and appreciated the fathers’ efforts in bringing both him and Doncic to success.
“What a wholesome moment. Frozone and Mr. Incredible, other known as my dad and Luka’s dad, embrace just watching their sons and their team do well. You know they have sacrificed a lot in order for us to be here. So, shoutout to them, especially on this Father’s Day, man.” Irving said.
Kyrie Irving Shuts Down Haters With Epic Game 4 Performance
Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving delivered an outstanding performance after initially struggling in the series, scoring 21 points, six assists, and four rebounds.
The team’s star player, Luka Doncic, continued to impress, scoring 29 points, along with five assists and five rebounds, in his 33 minutes of play, leaving fans in awe.
Irving played dominantly throughout the season; however, he struggled in the initial games against the Celtics, which led to criticism from fans and players.
Recently, a Celtics legend took aim at Irving and made some shocking statements about him. He mentioned that Irving lost his superstar status after struggling in the NBA playoffs.
Kyrie Irving and Dallas must win Game 5, which is scheduled for Monday at TD Garden, to stay in the series and have a chance to win the championship. However, the Celtics will secure their 18th championship if they win the next game.
