Following the elimination of the Philadelphia 76ers, Julius Erving posted something on X. The Philadelphia 76ers’ season ended on Thursday night as they fell to the New York Knicks 118-115 in Game 6 of their opening-round playoff series.

Despite having a very great squad, the 76ers never seem to be able to advance far in the NBA playoffs. Since Hall of Famer Julius Erving was a member of the team in 1982–83, they have failed to win an NBA Championship.

Erving posted on X following the 76ers’ defeat at the Knicks (on Saturday). In less than 12 hours, there were more than 250,000 impressions and close to 3,000 likes. He wrote,

“I will remember this season for the guts and grit shown by the Sixers through injury and adversity. Thank you Sixers fans and congrats to the Knicks.
Doc”

The 76ers struggled with injuries throughout the regular season, but they still had the potential to be one of the league’s top teams.

With a 47-35 record, they ultimately emerged as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference (beating the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament).

The 76ers advanced to the second round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs but were defeated in seven games by Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics.

The front staff will have a challenging task in the offseason as they look to surround All-Stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey with the appropriate players. The Indiana Pacers will be the opponent the Knicks play.
