In fact, the former NBA player couldn’t resist just after his estranged wife walked onto the carpet at the famous front steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Iman’s message may have been subtle, but Teyana undoubtedly made an indelible impression at this year’s Gala.

The 32-year-old wore a corseted red gown from The Blonds with rose appliqués on the bodice and skirt for the event. Teyana also showed up with a hair makeover fit for the designer of her dress: her distinctive brown locks had been replaced with a platinum blond updo. The Coming 2 America actress accessorized her ensemble with red nails, gold earrings, and heels with straps.

Iman’s admiration for his ex-partner comes about five months after it was revealed that Teyana, with whom he shares children Iman “Junie,” 7, and Rue Rose, 3, filed for divorce secretly in January 2023.

Even though Teyana and Iman have subsequently stated that they want to keep their personal affairs private, Teyana was recently the focus of dating rumors after she was spotted with Leonardo Dicaprio at an Oscars pre-party in March.
