Taylor Swift, who recently performed three sold-out shows at Anfield as part of her Eras Tour, has left a lasting impact on Liverpool, particularly for those in need.

The pop sensation, 34, made a “generous donation” to the St Andrew’s Community Network, which operates 11 food-banks and eight community food pantries across north Liverpool.

The news of Swift’s charitable act was not announced by the star or her PR team, but by Rich Jones, the chief executive of the community network based in Clubmoor. The organisation stated that the donation would make a “huge difference” to the thousands of people they assist.

Charlotte, a fundraiser for the network, expressed her gratitude: “We can’t thank Taylor enough.” She further added: “So many people are struggling at the moment and need for all our services has sadly increased over the last few years, so to have someone like Taylor supporting our endeavours and choosing to help people in crisis in Liverpool means so much and will make a massive difference.

“The charity aids approximately 36,000 individuals annually through their network of food-banks and community food spaces, and hundreds more via debt and welfare benefits advice, with the aim of liberating people from poverty.”

Taylor is all set for a stellar run during the UK leg of her Eras Tour, with a trio of sensational nights slated to take place at the iconic Wembley Stadium from Friday before she hits the stage at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium the following week.
