Southern Connecticut State gymnast Sydney Smith has been garnering thousands of followers across various platforms due to her being dubbed as the “world’s most flexible gymnast.”
Smith, who has garnered more than 618,000 followers on Instagram, had been competing for Southern Connecticut State, but those days are long gone now.
Sydney Smith, who graduated from the school earlier this year and has decided to transfer for the 2024-25 season, is headed for the big time. She will be committing to the University of Georgia.
She posted herself in three pictures rocking a Bulldogs sleeveless shirt.
“How ya doin?” she posted from Athens, Georgia.
That post has garnered more than 24,000 likes and over 200 comments.
Sydney Smith had previously transferred to Southern Connecticut State from the University of Bridgeport.
As a junior in 2022-2023, she recorded a personal best of 9.0000 on the balance beam in a quad meet against Bridgeport, Rhode Island, and Brown, per SCSUOwls.com.
Sydney Smith Continues To Grow Her Social Meda Status
Gymnast Sydney Smith might not have the followers that Olivia Dunne has as of now; she is well on her way to growing her more than 600,000 followers to even more after she took her talent from a small school to a huge one in the SEC.
Smith has a chance to grab some NIL deals now that she has transferred to the Georgia Bulldogs program and will be seen a lot more.
Her career may not extend past college, but her bank account can surely get her some money before she heads out into the real world.
Who knows? We may see her posing for Sports Illustrated in the future.
