Isaiah Buggs is flirting with never playing in the NFL again after his alleged actions.
The Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman was arrested on a domestic violence/burglary charge and booked into Tuscaloosa County jail over the weekend. He was also charged with two misdemeanors stemming from an animal cruelty case back in May.
Buggs went viral for all the wrong reasons for that arrest, but he also went viral for what he posted online.
Hours before he would be arrested and behind bars on a $5,000 bond, Isaiah Buggs took to his Instagram story and posted about his personal “growth.”
“Proud of my growth as a man and father,” he wrote in a caption of an Instagram story.
Buggs is not starting off his career with the Chiefs, who signed him in January after the Lions released him last year, in the best way.
It was later reported that the 27-year-old was on a 24-hour domestic violence hold and eventually bonded out and released on Monday. Prosecutors filed a motion to revoke his bond on the animal cruelty charges because a condition of his previous release from jail was to not commit any new crimes, per Al.com.
A Second Arrest Could Virtually End The Career of Isaiah Buggs
Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs was arrested and put behind bars for yet another time in his life.
Buggs has been charged with second-degree domestic violence and second-degree burglary in this latest arrest.
This latest arrest is reportedly his fourth in Tuscaloosa in recent months.
The previous one came in May, which was two counts of second-degree animal cruelty.
Yahoo reported that Buggs was previously arrested on April 14 following an incident at the Kings Hookah Lounge. He was charged with menacing, assault, and a city code infraction after allegedly shoving Tuscaloosa Police Chief Brent Blankley.
In another incident, Buggs and his brother were accused of pointing handguns at a woman during a confrontation at the hookah lounge.
