In 2021, ‘Bennifer’ had fans going wild as they fuelled 2000s nostalgia with their unexpected reunion – which also saw the pair packing on the PDA during a romantic getaway to Italy that summer.

Snaps from the trip saw the rekindled couple giggling as Jennifer Lopez, 54, sat on her beau Ben Affleck’s lap in a restaurant, huddling up together on a yacht, and smooching ardently in public.

But this week, JLo looked world’s away from her loved-up self three years ago as she embarked on a trip to the same location – this time without her husband – even appearing to dine in the exact restaurant she and him were snapped getting very intimate at.

Photos pictured the singer enjoying a much less giddy, flirty trip as she was spotted on a boat, heading to the world famous Lo Scoglio restaurant in Nerano for lunch with friends.

The star appeared to be relaxed as she ate her food, checked her phone, and chatted with pals.

And it would seem that the dining is not the only part of the itinerary that Jennifer is replicating.

She has spent the past few days in Italy and was recently spotted partying with pals on a boat in Positano, with onlookers claiming she looked ‘in great spirits’.

In addition to taking in the stunning scenery around her, the mother-of-two, who shares her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, posed for selfies from various angles.

It’s unknown who she was sending her flirty snaps to, but over the years, Ben, 51, has been fond of boating with Jennifer and, memorably, recreated an iconic scene from her 2002 Jenny From the Block music video on a $130M dollar mega yacht as they vacationed together in Saint Tropez for her 52nd birthday after they first rekindled.

After going public with their romance in 2021, Ben and Jennifer were enjoying a luxury yacht holiday with stops in Monaco, St Tropez and Capri as well as Nerano.

Jennifer’s ex ARod had also been in St Tropez in around that time, celebrating his 46th birthday on a rented Ocean Paradise yacht, which has an eye-watering price tag of €27,000,000 ($31,860,810) and can hold 12 guests and another 12 crew.

Yet that is no match for Jennifer’s Valerie, priced at €110,000,000 ($129,817,600) where three years ago she and Ben were seen recreating steamy scenes from her 2002 music video Jenny from the Block.

However, this time Jennifer appeared to simply enjoy a day trip on a different boat, rather than staying on.

Unlike the snaps from 2021, which showed an excitable JLo completely immersed in Ben, 51, this time the singer looked to enjoy much more downtime and lounging around the vessel.

Elsewhere, while shots from three years ago showed Ben playfully grabbing at her bottom, this year saw her posing up for glam sultry shots solo.

The fun-filled display came after a source told DailyMail.com that Jennifer is ‘over’ trying to fix her marriage to Ben.

An industry insider claimed that the pop star has reached her wit’s end and no longer feels that she can do any ‘more’ to save the relationship.

A music industry source told DailyMail.com: ‘Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it’s not getting any better, it’s worse.’

The insider added that the main reason JLo left her husband was because he was always ‘grumpy and negative’ like Oscar The Grouch from Sesame Street.

Jennifer is also said to be ‘shocked’ by the bad press she has been getting, which she believes is not fair.

The source continued: ‘If people could see what she has really gone through they would be easier on her. Ben is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer.

‘I think the world saw that in photos like when they were at the Grammys last year; he wouldn’t smile. If they saw how it really was, they would not attack her.

‘He chain smokes and cusses and seems irritated a lot of the time. Great director and actor, but not a lot of laughs with him, you know?’

‘He is a wonderful father though,’ they added.

The insider also said of JLo: ‘She is really not used to this kind of bad feedback, but she will get over it. She will march on.

‘Jennifer is a very smart and strong woman and she will bounce back, she always does!’

She has been leaning on close friends including stylist Shawn Barton, whose nickname is Beezy. Another pillar of support is vocal coach Stevie Mackey.

There have been many reports that Ben and Jennifer were set to announce their divorce last Friday, which is the norm among celebrities who are splitting.

When the source was asked about this they offered, ‘I think they have wanted to wait until all the kids are out of school and done with school plans and all that before they make their big announcement. They are putting the kids first.’

And as far as how Jennifer and Ben are getting along these days, the insider said they are being ‘cordial’ with each other.

Elsewhere, Ben was spotted without his wedding ring again on Sunday – amid rumors of marital strife with Jennifer.

The 51-year-old Oscar winner — who recently shared an awkward air kiss with the Atlas actress — cut a casual figure in a plaid shirt and jeans as he enjoyed a lunch date with his daughter Violet, 18, in Los Angeles.

The matinee idol seemed in high spirits as he waited for a table at the popular Tasty Noodle eatery with his eldest child, whom he shares with ex Jennifer Garner along with their other children, Fin (formerly Seraphina), 15, and Samuel, 12.

Ben completed his look with Nike high-tops and a white T-shirt, staying close to Violet, who showcased her unique style in an embroidered vest and matching dress.
