Meghan Markle made one particular move on Princess Eugenie’s wedding day, which left Sarah Ferguson “furious”, it has been claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their first pregnancy with Prince Archie to the Royal Family at Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October 2018.
But the announcement allegedly left Fergie, as she is known to family and friends, “furious” as she believed the duchess stole her daughter’s “limelight” on her big day.
Journalists Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett wrote in their book, Royals at War: “Meghan put her foot in it when she decided that it would be the ideal moment to announce that she and Harry were expecting their first child.
“This was a huge social gaffe, even if you were not a royal – stealing the limelight from Eugenie, who was furious, as was her mother, Sarah.”
