Cardi B has denied claims that her estranged husband Offset was an “unsupportive” partner amid their divorce and her third pregnancy.

Earlier this week, the rapper confirmed she was expecting her third child, having also filed for divorce from the Migos rapper.

“With every ending comes a new beginning!” she wrote on Instagram. “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!,” she continued. “Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”

“I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Cardi is also reportedly seeking “primary custody” of their two other children, Kulture and Wave, with a source telling Page Six: “They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do.”

“It’s not something that happened overnight,” the source added. “They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable.”

Now, a source claimed to People that Cardi felt her marriage to Offset was “more of a distraction than support”.

Dispelling the rumours that began circulating, she commented on Instagram [via MusicNews]: “OK this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids.

“Never in my career, no matter what I went through, I had friends or family go to the media, sooo I don’t know who is this damn source going to People magazine.

“Even wit my filing, I’m not asking for child support. My claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one.”

The couple previously separated in December 2018. Cardi then filed for divorce in 2020, claiming that “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” However, a month later, the ‘WAP’ rapper decided not to go through with it.
