This Morning host Dermot O’Leary halted Monday’s cooking segment as he spotted a confusing detail during a fry up.

During the latest episode, chef Clodagh McKenna was in the kitchen cooking up a post-match fry up following the Euros 2024 final, where England sadly lost out to Spain. As Clodagh, 49, starting frying all the food in the same pan, it was one breakfast ingredient that stopped Dermot in his tracks.

Halting the cooking segment, Dermot said: “I’m so confused… you’re not putting beans in the same pan as the rest of it? Oh no, Clodagh, don’t!” Baffled, Clodagh asked Dermot: “Do you not put beans on your plate, don’t like beans?”

Defending his comments, Dermot said: “I love beans but they have to be put in a different sauce pan” to which he then gagged as Clodagh poured the baked beans in the same pan as the rest of the ingredients. Dermot exclaimed: “No, I don’t like it, I don’t like the sauces contaminating. Oh no, you had me until beans!”

After revealing the benefits of getting more laughter in your life, guests Jackie and Clive then decided to demonstrate laughing yoga with Alison, 49, and Dermot, 51, as the foursome all erupted into laughter. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to beg for the laughter segment to end.

It comes as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard signed off from This Morning duties in style last week by announcing it was their last show until September. The duo have been entertaining morning viewers on the ITV show after taking over from Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. However, Cat and Ben have handed over hosting duties for the summer to Alison and Dermot.
