Less than 48 hours after an emotional final match, the freshly retired Andy Murray was in the public eye for a reason other than tennis.

The 37-year-old was seen taking in the women’s gymnastics vault final on Saturday, August 3. But while Simone Biles was on her way to another gold medal, a camera captured Murray enjoying a sweet treat.

“Who knew @andy_murray just like all of us at home eating donuts and watching the women’s gymnastics 😂 so relatable #Olympics,” wrote Atlanta sports anchor Alison Mastrangelo on X.

“The man is retired he doesn’t care any more 😂” a fan wrote on X.

“Just casually sitting there popping donuts in his gob in front of the great BJK 😂 love it,” another fan wrote.

To commemorate the occasion, Billie Jean King also posted this epic selfie with Murray.

In addition to Biles besting Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade for her third gold in Paris, USA’s Jade Carey squeaked out the bronze medal for vault. It was one of 17 medals won by the Americans on Saturday, the most in a single day since the Seoul Olympics in 1988.
