Is Brandon Aiyuk joining the Washington Commanders? Well, judging from the time Jayden Daniels is spending with him, there definitely seems to be something cooking.

Recently, a video of the San Francisco 49ers‘ star went viral. In the video, he was on a FaceTime call with Jayden Daniels, saying that the Niners don’t want him on the team and aren’t continuing contract talks. And this Sunday morning, the Commanders’ rookie shared something that sparked the intense trade rumors.

Daniels posted a mirror selfie with Aiyuk where the two can be seen twinning, on his Instagram story. The picture appeared to be taken during their day out shopping and enjoying each other’s company.

The quarterback and wide receiver took the selfie in a clothing store, the name of which couldn’t be identified. They were both sporting with white tees and identical sweatpants.

On the other hand, the 49ers remain unfazed by the Second-team All-Pro’s displeasure with them and also with the fact that he is missing the team’s mandatory training camp. Aiyuk has entered his final season with the Niners and given the contract situation, it appears there won’t be a future between the two parties.

Aiyuk had been seeking the contract since February this year after he majorly contributed to the 49ers’ run for the Super Bowl despite being WR No. 2. However, things went on a whole new level when the Minnesota Vikings signed their star Justin Jefferson in a record-breaking deal worth $140 million.

Aiyuk demanded similar pay, if not the same or close to Amon-Ra St. Brown’s $120 million deal, but the Niners offered him way below his standards and he remained exactly where he was before.

49ers want Brandon Aiyuk back contrary to his claims

Contrary to Aiyuk’s statement of the 49ers not wanting him back, NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed on the Pat McAfee show that it’s not true and both parties are reportedly close to signing a new deal.

For the record, the 49ers absolutely do want Brandon Aiyuk back despite what he says — They've had contract talks throughout the offseason.

He further revealed that the Niners do not wish to trade the wide receiver anytime soon, especially since they are aiming for total dominance next season to secure the Super Bowl ring, which they failed to do last season against the Kansas City Chiefs.
