Jake Paul claims he has an ‘iron chin’ ahead of his fight with Iron Mike

Jake Paul personally addressed Mike Tyson as he urged the 57-year-old him to show the dangerous power he possesses when they fight.

The YouTube star is set to take on the former heavyweight boxing champion on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in front of 80,000 fans as well as being available to watch on Netflix.

Despite news of the bout prompting criticism from the likes Conor McGregor and Oscar De La Hoya due to the 30-year difference between the two fighters, Paul’s girlfriend, speed skater Jutta Leerdam, is worried he’ll be knocked out by the Baddest Man on the Planet.

During an appearance on the Ohio native’s ‘BS W/ Jake Paul’ podcast, the Dutch beauty asked: “Hey babe, but what if he knocks you out?” to which Paul, 27, confidently responded: “No, I’m too sharp and fast”.

Tyson will be 58-years-old by the time he steps into the ring, and Paul encouraged the boxing icon to show him just how much power he still has in his legendary fists.

Can Jake Paul withstand the power of Mike Tyson?

Paul says he wants to see what Tyson has got left in the tank

“Mike, I really want to see, bro,” he said. “Let’s see, all the legends, the myths, because you’re Iron Mike Tyson, but I have an iron chin. People know that. I take shots, so I think people are underestimating me being able to deal with his power. And that is something that is going to make it interesting”.

The pair enjoyed their first face-off earlier this month in a promotional that took place on a heli-pad in Los Angeles as Paul sounded off on the strength of Tyson’s hands when greeting him.

“Shaking his hand at the shoot, this (expletive) is strong as (expletive),’” Paul said. “Like probably the strongest handshake…I don’t think he was trying not squeeze but you could just feel his hands were like bricks”.

In what is no doubt the sternest test of his young boxing career, Paul admitted how much he’s taking on in the form of the Tyson, albeit his age. “I am biting off a lot,” he remarked. “This is definitely the toughest, most savage, lethal opponent regardless of age, because the power is the last thing to go”.
