Lady Gaga put on a dramatic display as she rehearsed for the Olympics Opening Ceremony on the banks of the River Seine in Paris on Friday.

The songstress, 38, was lifted above dancer’s heads during the set that took place on a sweeping golden staircase ahead of her rumoured duet with Celine Dion, 56.

According to reports the duo will sing Édith Piaf’s La Vie en Rose at the ceremony, marking Celine’s first show since being diagnosed with incurable stiff-person syndrome over two years ago.

Gaga looked sensational in a skimpy black strapless top and hot pants that boasted a dramatic white feathered bustle.

She sported glamorous stage make-up with her blonde locks slicked back into a chic chignon, and later donned a pair of stylish black opera gloves.

She was joined by a whole host of dancers who were dressed in black and waved pink feathers during the showstopping performance.

This year’s opening will mark first time in the history of the event that it has not been held inside a stadium with the athletes from around the world making their grand entrance by boat, as fans line the riverbanks to witness this historic event.

According to Yiannis Exarchos, the CEO of Olympic broadcasting services the ceremony will be captured by eight drones, three helicopters and over 230 cameras, as well as 200 mobile phones.

Organises are preparing for a whole host of A-listers to decedent on the capital with the games’ featuring it’s first ever red carpet.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian sent tongues wagging as they shared snaps meeting Andrea Bocelli, who recently performed in nearby Cannes, leading fans to speculate the sister’s may also be attending the ceremony.

Elsewhere Snoop Dogg – famous the world over for his love of marijuana – is a special correspondent for US TV network NBC and carried the Olympic torch on a short run around the Stade de France on Friday.

It comes after Gaga gushed over Celine ahead of the performance when back in 2018 the My Heart Will Go On singer was spotted in the audience of Gaga’s Las Vegas residency.

According to The Mirror, she praised Celine saying: ‘I swear to you, the number of women that I can count on one hand that are supportive in this industry,’

‘It’s like, I would lose fingers, okay? You are amazing’.

French journalist Thierry Moreau posted on Wednesday that Gaga and Celine have rehearsed the song, with Celine to don a pink-and-black feathered cape by Dior.

A source told DailyMail.com that not only will the icon return to the stage at the Olympics, but she will also perform in French to honor the Olympic hosts and her own French-Canadian roots.

In 2022, Celine disclosed that she had been diagnosed with the neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome which causes muscles to stiffen and spasm.

According to reports on her Olympics performance deal, Celine will bring a team of healthcare professionals with her to help handle her comeback.

After her recent promise to return to performing, there has been rumours circulating online that she could sing at the opening ceremony. Céline has not commented.

Céline’s heartbreaking documentary, I Am: Céline Dion has been lauded by critics after it was released last month.

The harrowing film – captured over more than a year of filming – follows the star as she battles to continue her normal life and career amid her diagnosis – and has landed a perfect 100 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Celine announced in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with the syndrome – an extremely rare disorder that makes the muscles in the torso and limbs alternate between spasming and being rigid.

Meanwhile Chrissy Teigen ensured all eyes would be on as she led the celebrity arrivals ahead of the Opening Ceremony.

The model, 38, showed off her incredible figure in a khaki Balmain co-ord as she strutted down the red carpet at the Trocadero on Friday alongside husband John Legend and their eldest children Luna, eight, and Miles, six.

Chrissy flashed her toned stomach in a longline cardigan that she wore with half the buttons undone.

She teamed the garment with tiny hotpants that showcased her enviably toned legs, donning barely-there black heels to boost her frame further.

The mother-of-four completed the look with gold jewellery and a patent black clutch bag.

John, 45, looked dapper by her side in a black velvet suit teamed with white trainers.
