Ant McPartlin was bursting with ‘utter happiness and pride’ as he was spotted on a walk after the birth of his baby son.

The Geordie star, 48, and his wife, Anne-Marie Corbett welcomed their son, Wilder, into the world last week. At the time, he and his wife announced the joyful baby news on social media with a sweet black-and-white photo. Alongside the snap of Ant holding their newborn son to his chest, the BAFTA-winning host captioned the post: “Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess.”

On Monday, after being in a sweet baby bubble, he was pictured for the first time since welcoming Wilder while taking his dog on a walk outside his home in London. In the snaps, he was seen with one hand in his pocket as he smiled. He also seemed at ease as he played with the pup while soaking up the sunshine. Body language expert Judi James revealed to us that Ant was displaying a “first-time dad mood of ‘Anxious bliss’.”

She explained: “Sporting shades and stubble and sucking on a vape, Ant seems to display that first-time-dad mood of ‘Anxious bliss’. His eyes are hidden here and he stuffs one hand in a pocket in a bid to appear nonchalant but the design of his mouth smile shows the telling blend of tension mixed with utter happiness and pride.”

‌Judi added: “His mouth smile is wide but almost perfectly horizontal with a very straight top lip and gapping at the side of the teeth. It’s not the upturned, boyish, rather naughty grin he uses on TV but this smile does suggest a more grown-up set of emotions now he is a father.”

The new pictures come as it was reported that Ant would be back at work on Tuesday only one week after welcoming his son. The telly favourite should be back at his day job tomorrow, presenting The Prince’s Trust Awards at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London with his best pal Declan Donnelly.

Ant and Dec have presented the show for more than a decade and the Prince’s Trust has just posted on X: “We’re rolling out the red carpet and that can only mean one thing… The Prince’s Trust and @TKMaxx_UK & @HomesenseUK. Awards are TOMORROW! Join us on Facebook, YouTube or TikTok tomorrow from 15:45 to catch all the action live from the red carpet!”

Ant, who will also be back on our screens for the Britain’s Got Talent live shows later this month, decided to take a break from his popular Saturday Night Take Away show, which he hosts with Dec, after the duo said they needed to spend time with their families.
