Every player has a unique approach to defending against their opponents on the court, but Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmp’s move is something peculiar. The Memphis Grizzlies’ GG Jackson II came forward to unveil Giannis’ unfair play that left a lasting impression.

On a recent episode of “Run It Back” the rookie was asked about his pinching episode with Giannis. Jackson lifted his sweatshirt to show the spot, saying, “Right here.” Before telling the story, the 19-year-old checked whether his mother was around.

Then Jackson continued to say, “I was busting his a**, and I kept coming off, like shooting quick threes… When Pat Bev subbed into the game, he was like, ‘No, no, you know. I got him, I got him.’ So Giannis, they were full denying it and anytime I would move, he would just grab my side and squeeze so hard, it hurt so bad.”

The Memphis forward had a brilliant record against the Bucks in both games last season. He impressed with 27 points in the first game and 15 points and 12 rebounds in the second. Despite trying unfair moves, the Greek Freak couldn’t stop the budding star from showing his marvelous skills.

Giannis, too, had a good season if one looks at his individual stats: 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks. But he missed the playoffs due to a contactless injury at the end of the season. During his absence, the Bucks suffered and got eliminated early from the post-season tournament. However, the Greek-Nigerian will soon be seen on the hardwood.

Giannis Antetokounmpo to Start Training Soon

After an unfortunate end of the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo was called to perform national duties. The 7-footer will pair up with his Greek teammates for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The coach, Vassilis Spanoulis, informed that he would soon turn up for practice after fully recovering from his calf strain. Giannis has had a long break, and now it will be showtime for him.

Antetokounmpo’s home country, Greece, will host the qualifiers in Piraeus in the first week of July. The winner would confirm their spots in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, it will not be easy if Luka Doncic decides to suit up in his Slovenian jersey.
