In all fairness, there is no hatred against Fast X. There are movies, however, which have made some advancements in terms of filmmaking and a unique storyline in the works. With movies like Barbie, Oppenheimer, and, John Wick: Chapter 4 getting released in 2023, people are in shock about Fast X getting nominated for the People’s Choice Award. Fast x is actually garbage and bombed at the domestic box office so this nomination doesn’t make any sense.

There is an actor, however, who could have made the nomination of Fast X worth it if he had been a part of the movie. Keanu Reeves, the actor known for killing bad guys with headshots in his John Wick franchise was almost a part of Fast X!

Alan Ritchson, the actor known for portraying the role of Jack Reacher in the Prime Video series Reacher, starred as the new villain in Fast X. Being the new head of The Agency who hires Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), Alan Ritchson did give a spectacular performance but the role could have been Keanu Reeves’s. In an interview with EW, Ritchson revealed that there were some problems with the Reeves plan.

“It was just a little stroke of luck and good timing. I was working on [Ordinary Angels], a movie with Hilary Swank up in Winnipeg in the freezing cold, and I got a call that things had shifted in the plans with Keanu Reeves, which is I think who was originally intended to play my part. Tough act to follow.”

With a rating of 5.8/10 on IMDB and an average of 56% on Rotten Tomatoes, Fast X  is available to stream on Peacock Premium in the U.S. As for the Movie of the Year award, fans are pretty sure that Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer will take the cake.
