On Thursday, Keanu Reeves was spotted on the set of the upcoming American comedy film “Good Fortune” in Los Angeles.
The actor sported a white shirt, a black tie, and a long black diving parka jacket over dark slacks and brown shoes. In between scenes, the John Wick star was casually snacking on a Clif bar.
Interestingly, there’s a history of jokes about Keanu’s fondness for Clif bars, as he was previously photographed carrying a whole bag of them down the street two years ago. The reactions on Reddit were amusing, with fans humorously speculating about his potential uses for the energy bars.
“Good Fortune” is a high concept comedy about the gig economy in Los Angeles, written and directed by Aziz Ansari in his directorial debut. Ansari, along with Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer, also stars alongside Keanu in the film. The movie’s plot is being kept secret, but Production List describes it as a comedy exploring the gig economy in Los Angeles.
The film’s production faced delays due to last year’s writers’ strike but finally began in January 2024 in the Koreatown neighborhood of LA. On January 25, Reeves was seen on set with crutches and an ice pack on his left knee, sparking concern among fans. The online response led to #GetWellSoonKeanu trending on social media. However, days later, Reeves was spotted standing on set without assistance, leaving fans relieved.
Keanu Reeves, with nearly 40 years of acting experience, gained a massive fan following through successful franchises like “John Wick” and “The Matrix.” The “John Wick” series started in 2014, followed by sequels in 2017, 2019, and 2023, with the fifth installment in development for a potential 2026 release.
Reeves’ first major franchise success was as Neo in all four “Matrix” movies released in 1999, 2003, 2002, and 2021. As a trivia tidbit, there’s a memorable line that Reeves delivered in both “Matrix” and “John Wick” when asked what he needed: “Guns, lots of guns.
