Will Smith gave fans a big surprise at a Los Angeles area screening of his new movie Bad Boys: Ride Or Die on Friday night.

The action film starring Smith 55, and costar Martin Lawrence, 59, earned $5.9 million in previews and looked poised to capture the top spot at the weekend box office.

‘We’re in Baldwin Hills, we’re about to go into the theater, the Oscar winner said as he sat in the back of his SUV limo in a video shared on Instagram and TikTok.

‘It’s a ritual I have. I do it like, when I have a movie come out on Friday, Saturday and usually a matinee on Sunday. I like going to theaters,’ he explained.

The next shot showed Smith, staying low key in the back row of the theater, dressed in all black with a KN95 mask and a black billed cap, enjoying a laugh with the audience.

After the movie, the actor casually walked out with the audience and says to fellow viewers, ‘Hey, I’m glad y’all enjoyed that.’

At first the folks responded nonchalantly, thinking he was a fellow moviegoer, but quickly realized they were talking to one of the stars of the film.

After that, Smith shared hugs and posed for photos with fans.

‘I was in there y’all the whole time,’ he told the astounded moviegoers.

One gave the movie a ’10 out of 10,’ in an impromptu review.

‘Imagine sitting next to Will Smith and not knowing?!’ exclaimed one fan.

‘That’s how you promote a movie,’ said another.

None of the fans seemed too concerned about the infamous slap he gave Chris Rock at the Academy Awards in 2022, which made Smith persona non grata in Hollywood.

‘This man is unreal and so down to earth, how not to love him?’ queried a devoted fan.

The reviews for Bad Boys: Ride Or Die have been mixed, and Rotten Tomatoes gave the fourth installment in the franchise a 57 percent rotten rating from the most prestigious critics surveyed by the site.

Audiences reached a dramatically different conclusion, giving it an impressive 97 percent fresh rating.

On the same day, Smith shared a photo with Martin Lawrence from the first Bad Boys movie to celebrate the anniversary since he filmed the action-comedy three decades ago and it was released in 1995.

‘This month marks the 30th anniversary of the start of principal photography of the first Bad Boys,’ he penned in a lengthy caption.

‘D***! I was 25 years old. Marty Mar was 29. Just two kids — who lucked out and got to live their dreams on the first try,’ he continued before adding that Lawrence ‘had the role first.’

Smith then recalled how his co-star’s sister told him to try out for the role and he was immediately ‘hooked’ even though Lawrence told him he couldn’t read the script yet.

Smith noted that he doesn’t like ‘flying blind,’ but he wanted to work with him.

If you know me, you know I do NOT like flying blind like that. But it was my shot to work with [a] comedic genius like Martin — so I said, you know what? F%## it. I’m in.

‘And the rest is history. Thank you for tagging me in, Marty Mar. You are the definition of a Ride or Die.’

At the end of his caption, he teased a potential fifth installment since Bad Boys: Ride or Die was released two days ago.
