During an appearance on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak,” LeSean McCoy labeled Doncic as the worst All-Star he’d ever seen, pointing to his defensive shortcomings.

“Luka is the worst All-star I’ve ever seen in my life. He can score the ball, he can pass the ball. He can rebound, all that. Luka has no effort on defense. He doesn’t want to play defense. He doesn’t hustle for no loose balls. Luka doesn’t hustle for no loose rebounds,” McCoy said.

Doncic scored 28 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out four assists, and made three steals, per ESPN. Throughout the Finals, the point guard led all players in rebounds (9.5), assists (8.1), and steals (1.9) per game. He became the first player in NBA Playoffs history to achieve this feat.

LeSean McCoy’s Critique of Luka Doncic Sparks Fan Outrage

Luka Doncic had an outstanding season on the offensive end, consistently delivering record-breaking performances. Despite this, many fans criticized him for his perceived lack of effort on defense.

Nevertheless, many fans disagreed with McCoy’s assessment after LeSean McCoy’s harsh criticism of Doncic following the NBA Finals. While Doncic may have had some defensive struggles, it seemed excessive to label his overall performance as poor based solely on his defense.

Several fans expressed their frustration with McCoy’s comments. However, some questioned McCoy’s sports achievements, while others mocked his harsh critique of the Serbian superstar.

Throughout the postseason, Doncic played through several injuries that impacted his health. Nevertheless, critics continued to target him, which is particularly disappointing from a former NFL player like LeSean McCoy.
