Last year’s series was won by Alex Beresford and his dad Noel, with the broadcaster breaking down in tears after being crowned champion.
The weather presenter, 43, became emotional as he crossed the finish line in Tromsø, Norway, after speaking out on how his confidence had been ‘knocked’ from his explosive on-air clash with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
Addressing the fall-out, which happened back in 2021 over Meghan Markle, Alex said he ‘grew a thick skin’ but had to turn to his family for support during the tough time.
The presenter and his dad Noel cheered with excitement as they became the first pair to reach the check point in Tromsø, Norway, with Harry Judd and his mum Emma coming in second place.
Alex exclaimed: ‘It feels fantastic we are on top of the world right now. This was the toughest experience I have had but we got to travel together as men.’
The series had been postponed in light of the deadly earthquake in Morocco.
