Sources close to Ruth, 64, say she has been left hurt and upset over her marriage breakdown.

She won’t be discussing the split with Eamonn in depth on the show and friends say she wants it to be a normal show and is keen to get back to work.

She added: “Just don’t expect any big news or revelations about the divorce, she wants to keep that private.” Ruth is expected to be joined on the show by Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter.

Eamonn has continued to work at GB News in recent weeks and has not discussed his impending divorce on screen. He did an extra show on Sunday with Anne Diamond and posted on social media what a “pleasure” it was, alongside a photo of him and Anne, where it was pointed out he was still wearing his wedding ring.

But aside from the pain of the split, he is also burdened by ongoing health problems due to chronic back issues. Earlier this month Eamonn spoke about standing up and “aiming to walk next”. But when one fan said “You’re doing well Eamonn”, he replied: “If only, but thanks x”.

Another said they hoped he was feeling better and he replied “trying”. Speaking at the TRIC awards last month, Eamonn said “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all.” When asked about whether he and Ruth will continue to have a relationship of any kind, Eamonn added: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”

Speaking in January Eamonn said the “harsh reality” could be that he may never be able to walk alone again unaided.

Eamonn and Ruth met in 1997 when they were introduced by mutual friends and they then dated for over a decade before Eamonn popped the question and they married in 2010. Before the split they had not been photographed together for two years.
Ruth Langsford made a grand return to the set of Loose Women after a two-month hiatus, marking a new chapter in her life post-divorce from Eamonn Holmes. The 64-year-old presenter has faced significant challenges in recent months, but her dedication to her job and passion for her work have kept her going. Though the split has taken its toll on Ruth, she remains strong and resilient, determined to show the world that she is moving forward.

During her comeback episode, Ruth refrained from delving into the details of her divorce, choosing instead to focus on her work and the joy it brings her. Her friends have praised her for her professionalism and positive attitude, noting that she is eager to immerse herself back into the world of daytime television. Ruth’s return was met with warm embraces from her co-hosts Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter, who were delighted to have her back in their midst.

Meanwhile, Eamonn Holmes has been keeping busy with his work at GB News, putting on a brave face despite the challenges he faces. His ongoing health issues have added another layer of complexity to an already difficult situation, but Eamonn remains optimistic about the future. Fans have rallied around him, offering words of encouragement and support as he navigates this trying time.

As Ruth and Eamonn adjust to their new reality, the question remains whether they can salvage a friendship from the ashes of their marriage. Eamonn has expressed his hope that they can maintain a positive relationship, despite the pain of their separation. Their journey together may have come to an end, but the memories they shared over the years will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Looking ahead, Ruth and Eamonn are focused on healing and moving forward with their lives. While the road ahead may be uncertain, they are both determined to face whatever challenges come their way with grace and resilience. The coming days will undoubtedly bring new opportunities and experiences for them both, and their fans will be there
every step of the way to offer their unwavering support.
