On August 1, 2024, Cardi B revealed that she is expecting her third child. The news comes after the rapper applied for divorce from Offset on July 31, 2024. The pair exchanged vows back in 2017 and are already the parents of two children, born in 2018 and 2021.

Also known as Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, she announced her pregnancy through Instagram with two photos wearing a red outfit. Cardi was flaunting her baby bump in the pictures and started by writing:

“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”

Furthermore, Cardi B added that she cannot wait for everyone to witness everything that she has accomplished and the things she has done so far. She ended her caption by saying:

“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Cardi’s fans reacted to the news by expressing their happiness under the post, with one person writing that he had tears in his eyes as he saw the pictures. Others sent their best wishes to the artist as she prepares to welcome her third baby.

On the other hand, a section of the public also took to the comments section of an Instagram post by Hollywood Unlocked to share their reactions, with one of them expressing concern over the pregnancy considering that Cardi B was dealing with a divorce. The user wrote:

“This lady doesn’t deserve this stress pregnant.”

Cardi B and Offset’s marriage was going through a lot of trouble before divorce

As mentioned, the Saturday Night Live star applied for divorce on Wednesday which has grabbed a lot of attention on different platforms. The news was confirmed by her representative to Page Six and further details related to the divorce are currently awaited.

While Offset has been reportedly accused of being unfaithful to his wife in the past, a source for Page Six stated that this was not a reason behind the separation. The source stated that the duo had “grown apart”, leading to the decision to divorce.

On the other hand, Offset denied cheating on Cardi B in his recent Instagram live. Back in December last year, the pair also unfollowed each other on Instagram and Cardi posted a message through Instagram at the time which read:

“You know when you just out grow relationships. I’m tired of protecting peoples feelings… I gotta put myself first.”

Offset had also accused Cardi B of cheating on him as he shared a statement on his Instagram Story in June this year. However, Cardi responded to the accusations via Twitter spaces at the time and said:

“You can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me y’all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!”

The pair got engaged back in 2017 and the rumors emerged the following year when Offset was involved in a cheating scandal. He was reportedly spotted in bed with different women in some videos and although Offset did not speak up anything about the scandal, Cardi B wrote in a tweet that these things are common in any relationship.
