Eminem‘s adopted daughter Alaina Marie Scott has spoken for the first time since marrying her partner Matt Moeller in Michigan – revealing that her father was present and walked her down the aisle.

Fans had wondered if the Slim Shady star had skipped the event as he was not pictured, however, Alaina has explained that he was very much in attendance.

The bride, 30, who got hitched 18 months after announcing her engagement, said: ‘He wasn’t going to miss that!’

‘I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle,’ she told PEOPLE.

‘Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives,’ she added.

The ‘Great Gatsby glam’ themed bash included 125 guests at the Packard Proving Ground Historic museum in Shelby Township, Michigan.

Alaina opted for a stunning mermaid gown with a bejeweled headband and long, trailing veil, as she shared a gallery of snaps from her big day on Instagram on Monday.

Joining Alaina for her big day was her sister Hailie Jade, who acted her maid of honor for the romantic occasion.

Captioning her post, Alaina wrote: ‘June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life, ‘in this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours.’

Alaina announced her engagement to her boyfriend Matt in December 2021, posting a snap of the sweet proposal on the rooftop at Detroit’s Monarch Club.

Alaina is the biological daughter of Eminem’s former sister-in-law Dawn – ex-wife Kim’s twin – but was adopted by the rapper in 2002 after she succumbed to addiction.

After running away from home when they were teenagers, Dawn and Kim moved in with Eminem and his mother when he was 15, and his relationship with Kim began soon after in 1989.

The couple would go on to marry for the first time in 1999 before divorcing in 2001, but they would disastrously remarry in 2006 – for just four months.

Dawn later died of a heroin overdose at Detroit’s Motor City Trailer Park in January 2016, aged 40.

Four months before her death, Dawn revealed her struggle to beat her drug addiction, and told Radar that Eminem and Kim were giving her no help at all.

She said: ‘I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with money up the a*s.’

Dawn had been homeless since 2014, sleeping on couches and even spending nights on the street.

She added: ‘One night I called my sister and told her I had nowhere to go. She said, ‘That’s not my problem. Don’t bother me,’ and hung up.’

Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers III – spoke about his relationship with Alaina in 2004, two-years after adopting her.

‘My niece has been part of my life ever since she was born,’ he said. ‘Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.’

The rapper is also a parent to biological daughter Hailie Jade, 25, with his ex-wife, and she is understood to have a close relationship with her adopted sister.

The engagement comes just five months after Kim was rushed to the hospital following a suicide attempt the day after her own mother Kathleen Sluck’s funeral.

It was the troubled 46-year-old’s second suicide attempt following another attempt in October 2015.

Eminem famously divorced his Lincoln High School sweetheart twice, in 2001 and 2006, after less than three years of marriage.
