Cardi B is the first female rapper to be named Woman of the Year.
On November 18, on the Billboard homepage , Cardi B was honored as Woman of the Year at the Women in Music event held online on December 10. This award honors the contributions of female artists in the world music industry.
Despite the many changes in the entertainment industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic last year, Cardi B still made a strong impression with her hit song WAP, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. However, the MV caused controversy because of the revealing outfits worn by Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion and guest Kylie Jenner.
