The Minnesota Vikings lost cornerback Khyree Jackson to a tragic car accident along with two others, and there has been nothing but sadness, condolences, and good stories coming out in the wake of this tragedy.
That was the theme until TikToker RicoKnows decided he wanted his moment in the spotlight by taking his death and making it something else.
While this news sent shockwaves around the football world, RicoKnows used the tragedy to question the Minnesota Vikings star cornerback’s character and choices.
RicoKnows, who boasts 180,000 followers on TikTok, bashed Khyree Jackson over his “poor decision-making.” He stated, “When I talked to former teammates who played with Khyree Jackson, they all had the same kind of message, which is he is an immensely talented person, terrible person, character-wise, but he is immensely challenged on the football field. For me, I’m not going to support somebody like that…”
He continued, “I don’t know the details of his car accident, so I’m not going to sit here and say that I was right in any regard. I’m just going to say that decision-making is essential. Not going out at night is essential, not driving in dangerous times, all that stuff is decision-making. You are the end result of your own decision-making.”
RicoKnows was hardly finished as he ripped Jackson’s character in a way that justified everything he was saying.
“I saw the post on Twitter where everyone is saying, ‘all I heard was good things about this man, he made it from working in a deli, he had no interest coming out of high school’…the reason he had to be at a deli and the reason nobody had interest in him is because he was kicked out of four different universities for substandard conduct…but for the last eight months he managed to do the right things, hoped for the best, but it didn’t work out.”
“If you live fast and make poor decisions, you’re going to die fast, and you are the end result of your own decisions.”
That post has been viewed over 10 million times and has over 1,300 comments.
As expected, people took to social media and completely ripped him apart for his insensitive take on Khyree Jackson and that he could’ve kept this to himself.
In the meantime, the Minnesota Vikings are still mourning the loss of rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson due to a fatal car accident, with teammates and fans devastated by the tragedy.
Maryland State Police Release Statement On The Death of Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson, Isaiah Hazel, and Anthony Lytton, Jr. were all tragically killed while riding in a Dodge Charger. At the time, Hazel was driving while Lytton was riding in the back seat.
Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene after the car he was traveling in was pushed from the road.
The Maryland State Police issued a statement saying the preliminary investigation shows that the driver of another car “attempted to change lanes while driving at a high rate of speed when she struck the Dodge Charger and then struck [a] Chevrolet Impala,” per Pro Football Talk.
The impact forced the Charger off the road, where it “struck multiple tree stumps.”
The three occupants of the Infiniti and the lone occupant of the Impala miraculously escaped injury.
The release includes this: “Investigators believe alcohol may have been a contributing circumstance in the crash.”
