Ana Navarro isn’t the only co-host on The View who can deliver an impassioned rant. On this morning’s episode of the hit daytime talk show, a furious Joy Behar tore into Donald Trump‘s alleged disrespect of the U.S. military.

The fiery moment came amid a Hot Topic segment about the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy to fight fascism and change the trajectory of World War II.

Behar recalled sharing a wholesome moment with a French tour guide back when she visited Normandy — and specifically recalled seeing the very cliffs that U.S. soldiers had to climb while “Germans were waiting for them to get to the top of the cliffs so they could shoot them.”

“I said to him, ‘We saved France.’ And he said, ‘You saved the world,’” she remembered, while Whoopi Goldberg chimed in, “That’s what America used to do.”

According to Behar, the tour guide’s comment was “the most touching thing anybody” had ever said to her about the United States, which could potentially be led by Trump again if he wins the 2024 election.

“For us to be throwing it down the toilet to a convicted felon — to somebody who was liable for [sexual abuse], who lies and cheats,” Behar said in disgust, noting that Trump’s former chief of staff previously came forward with some damning accusations about the former president, which she proceeded to list off.

“Trump said U.S. service members were suckers and losers for risking their lives. There’s nothing in it for them,” she said. “He refused to visit the graves in France. He didn’t want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because, ‘It doesn’t look good for me.’ He criticized gold-star families. He went against John McCain, who was a hero.”

Behar added, “And this guy is neck and neck with Biden? Today is a day to reflect on what we have in this country and what we could lose very easily if we don’t watch it. End of speech.”
