Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant enlisted a slew of singers to perform at their pre-wedding events and lavish nuptials in Mumbai over the weekend

Billionaire heir Anant Amabani married Radhika Merchant over the weekend in Mumbai after a slew of pre-wedding events and ceremonies from a lavish bash in March to a four-day Mediterranean cruise in June.

The glitzy over-the-top events included performances from artists such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Luis Fonsi, and Rema.

Ambani, 29, is the youngest son of billionaire business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries. Mukesh is the richest man in Asia and Forbes estimates his net worth at around $124 billion.

Merchant, 29, is the daughter of pharmaceutical tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant who founded Encore Healthcare.

It was truly an international affair with actors, politicians and celebrities from around the world in attendance. Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Boris Johnson, John Cena, Nicky Hilton, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra all attended as well as with Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Rema and Fonsi performed at the couple’s wedding ceremony singing their respective hit songs “Calm Down” and “Despacito.”

Just last weekend Bieber performed at the couple’s Sangeet ceremony, a pre-wedding celebration traditionally centered around music and dance. The pop singer belted out his chart-topping hits including “Baby,” “Love Yourself,” “Where Are Ü Now” and “Peaches.”

Rihanna was one of many performers at the three-day pre-wedding bash in March. The “Diamonds” singer, 36, performed on day one in front of 1,200 guests in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

She was seen wearing a sparkly light green long-sleeved dress with pink boots while singing her hit songs like “Work,” “B—- Better Have My Money,” “All of the Lights” and “We Found Love.”

During her performance, the singer gave a shout-out to the couple saying, “We’re here tonight in honor of Anant. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations.”

Rihanna then joined the guests on the dancefloor and was seen dancing alongside Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor in a video posted on X.

The bash also included performances from Akon, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, and Bollywood singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.

Two months after the Jamnagar celebrations, the couple hosted 800 guests on a luxury cruise ship that made stops in Sicily, Rome, Cannes and Portofino. The four-day event also included performances by Perry, The Backstreet Boys, David Guetta, Pitbull and Andrea Bocelli.

The band performed a surprise concert for the couple during a starry-night-themed formal party on night one of the cruise. In a video uploaded to Instagram, the group’s members — Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson — were seen wearing all-white outfits while singing their hit songs like “I Wanna Be With You” and “Everybody.”

Guetta performed during a party on the ship after guests spent the day in Rome. In a video uploaded to Instagram, Guetta, 56, was seen playing a DJ set while guests were dancing.

The couple then hosted a masquerade ball at the Château de la Croix des Gardes in Cannes on the third day of the cruise which also included a performance by Perry. The “California Girls” singer, 34, wore a silver metallic gown and sang “Firework” while real-life fireworks went off in the sky above the venue.

Perry’s performance was followed by a Pitbull concert after guests returned on board.

The final performance was in Portofino after the family rented out the main square and transformed it into an open-air market with food stalls. The night ended with a concert by Bocelli where he sang “I Found My Love in Portofino” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

This isn’t the first time the Ambani family has enlisted famous artists to perform at family events. Back in 2018, Beyoncé and John Legend performed at Isha Ambani’s wedding celebrations, and in 2019, Marron 5, Chris Martin and The Chainsmokers performed at Akash Ambani’s wedding festivities.
