The basketball star surprised students with a generous “Back to School Backpacks” giveaway and took the opportunity to inspire young athletes in the community.

On Friday afternoon, Clark, alongside her foundation team, distributed over 350 backpacks to students from both public and parochial schools in the Des Moines area. Each backpack was packed with essential school supplies, generously provided by Hy-Vee, and water bottles sponsored by Gatorade. Nike was instrumental in supplying the backpacks, ensuring that each student received a high-quality, practical gift to start the school year.

So understanding that really resonates with young kids. Just giving them something to smile about, taking a moment out of my day to give them a high five, sign their poster, whatever it is, can mean the world to them.”
