Travis Kelce Says Prince William Was ‘So Cool’ When They Met At Taylor Swift’s London Show: ‘Very Genuine’

The NFL star said he had never seen his brother Jason Kelce “give that someone that much respect” to someone as he did when they met the Prince of Wales at Wembley Stadium on June 21

Travis Kelce was royally flushed when meeting Prince William.

The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, opened up on the latest episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast about getting to meet the Prince of Wales, 42, at his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 21.

“Dude, he was the coolest motherf——-,” Travis shared, to which his brother Jason Kelce chimed in, “He was awesome.”

“He was so cool,” Travis added.

The NFL tight end added that when he first met William and his children Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, backstage at the show, he wasn’t sure what the protocol was and whether he should “bow,” “curtsy” or “just be an American idiot and shake their hand.”

“We wanted to be polite, especially on this side of the park,” Travis noted, adding that George and Charlotte were “an absolute delight.”

He also shared that Jason, 36, got to meet Prince William and his kids and noted that he had never seen his brother “give that someone that much respect” when he met them.

“You put your beer, like, 10 feet away from you,” Travis joked.

The former Eagles player added, “I didn’t have it in my teeth when I met him [Prince William],” referring to a viral clip of him holding a beer cup between his teeth during one of the London weekend concerts.

“You’re like, you’re right. I just thank you,” Travis said. “I wish to enjoy your kingdom.”

“They were wonderful people, and that’s what it’s about. You know?,” Jason explained. “Obviously, literally part of a monarchy, royalty. Yeah. Hard to be a down to earth human being, I would assume. But came off that way completely.”

“Very genuine. Very cool,” added Travis.

Travis was featured in a photo Swift posted alongside Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte backstage, which was also reposted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account.

In the image, the “Fortnight” singer, 34, could be seen standing alongside the three royals, extending her arm and smiling wide as she holds a phone to snap a photograph of the group. “Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour,” the post’s caption read.

“Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝,” the singer captioned her post, referencing Prince William’s 42nd birthday on the same day as the show.
