NBA superstar Steph Curry unleashed his world-renowned finesse on the global stage, clinching the Olympic gold for Team USA with a legendary 3-pointer against France that will echo in Olympic lore.

In the intense final moments, with only 45 seconds on the clock and Team USA up 95-87, Curry took center stage at half-court to set up what would become a defining play. As the final seconds ticked away, Curry engaged a screen from Kevin Durant.

Durant rolled off the pick, leaving Curry to outwit French defenders Nic Batum and Guerschon Yabusele who were quickly advancing.

Curry opted to send the ball to Durant, showcasing his celebrated dynamic movement, and then swiftly repositioned to the right perimeter. There, with a quick succession of crossover dribbles, he conjured enough room to fire off a soaring 3-pointer over the towering double team.

The shot arched gracefully before sinking flawlessly through the hoop, skirting the rim entirely.

Commentators couldn’t contain their excitement as they exclaimed, “OH, that’s a golden dagger! ” while fans erupted into an uproar of support. Curry basked in the thrill of his showstopping moment, engaging in his now-iconic “night night” acta celebration that has come to symbolize his ice-cold clutch moments ever since its debut during the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

“The first time I did it was Game 3 in Denver,” Curry recounted to Boardroom. “It happened quick, and it was one of those situations where you were back in the playoff vibe. We had missed it for two years. I was just feeling amped being back on the stage,” he added.

“I was coming off the bench, so I was even more hyped up, with even more energy off the injury, and all that.”

As the Warriors triumphed over Denver 3-1, they advanced through the postseason, dominating the Memphis Grizzles in the conference semifinals and outplaying the Dallas Mavericks in the conference finals, before capturing the championship title with a 4-2 victory against the Boston Celtics.

In the gold-medal clash, Curry truly shined, notching up 24 points from 8-of-14 shooting, proving deadly accurate from three-point range with an 8-for-13 showing, as well as contributing five assists and nabbing two steals during his 30 minutes on the court, demonstrating his superb skill set and leadership.

Looking back at a critical moment, Curry reflected, “At that point, your mind goes blank. You don’t really care about the setting or the scenario or anything; it’s just a shot. Thankfully, that one went in … it’s just rhythm and flow and confidence, and that was it.”

The triumph was particularly rewarding for first-time Olympian Curry, who shared his exhilaration: “It wasn’t easy, but damn, I’m excited,” reveling in the achievement. “This is everything that I wanted it to be and more, so I’m excited.”
