Patrick Beverley has signed a contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC of the Israeli Premier League after 12 years in the NBA.
According to Sportando, Beverley’s deal will pay him “approximately” $2 million next season, with a chance to earn another $1 million in bonuses “if the team wins the EuroCup and qualifies for the EuroLeague.”
Beverley split the 2023-24 season with the Philadelphia 76ers and Bucks. The Sixers traded him to Milwaukee midway through the campaign, and he emerged as a vital piece for the Bucks’ playoff run.
Beverley averaged 6.0 points, 2.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds in games with Milwaukee this past season.
“The way I go about things, I’m not going to make everyone happy,” Beverley told reporters after his Bucks debut. “I’m going to upset some people. I hold myself to a high standard, and I expect everyone else to do the same.”
The journeyman guard has played for six teams in the last four seasons and seven teams overall. As he approaches his age-36 season, Beverley’s reputation as a defender outweighs his actual performance, but he’s a vocal locker-room leader who can help in spurts.

Of note, Beverley was suspended four games by the NBA for “forcefully throwing a basketball multiple times at spectators” during the Bucks’ season-ending loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of the first round as well as for “an inappropriate interaction with a reporter during media availability” following the game. NBA reporter Marc Stein noted Beverley’s suspension would transfer to his new team if he returned to the NBA.
