The Milwaukee Bucks will have a chance to redeem themselves with the 33rd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Milwaukee in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft selected AJ Johnson 23rd overall, a 19-year-old shooting guard. Johnson is a very raw prospect and he is someone that could help them in years from now rather than right away.

There are some good players available in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft. With the Milwaukee Bucks having two teams picking ahead of them on Thursday afternoon, winger Johnny Furphy and center Kyle Filipowski may be gone. They are the best prospects on the board entering Day 2 of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Milwaukee Bucks have to do what is best for the franchise. Will general manager Jon Horst make another shocking pick on Thursday afternoon? Who should he pick with this selection if they don’t decide to trade it?

One Of The Players That the Milwaukee Bucks Should Select With the 33rd Overall Pick In the 2024 NBA Draft Should Be Adem Bona, Center, UCLA

It was surprising that the Bucks did not draft a Brook Lopez replacement in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft, but there are still some players at the center position available. Adem Bona is one of those players who should still be available by the time the Milwaukee Bucks draft.

Adem Bona is 6’8″ and weighs 245 lbs. As a sophomore last season with the UCLA Bruins, he averaged 12.4 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 1.2 APG, 1.8 BPG, and 1.1 SPG. Bona shot 58.8% from the field and 69.6% from the free-throw line. He is not much of a three-point shooter at all.

Point Guard Tyler Kolek Marquette Golden Eagles

There was maybe a chance that Marquette Golden Eagles point guard Tyler Kolek was going to be off the board in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft, but he is still available. He is no stranger to playing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the past four years.

Kolek would be able to help the Milwaukee Bucks right away. He’d be a good fit off the bench for Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Last season with the Marquette Golden Eagles, he played in 31 games and averaged 15.3 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 7.7 APG, 0.2 BPG, and 1.6 SPG. Kolek also shot 49.6% from the field, 38.8% from three-point land, and 85.1% from the free-throw line.

Point Guard Bronny James USC Trojans

Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst made one shocking NBA Draft decision so why not make it two shocking draft choices? The odds are he might do something once again that this fanbase may not like. James is more of a project at this time. He is the son of NBA legend Lebron James.

In 25 games last season with the USC Trojans as a freshman, he averaged 4.8 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.1 APG, 0.2 BPG, and 0.8 SPG. James shot 36.6% from the field, 26.7% from three-point land, and 67.6% from the free-throw line.
