Kate Middleton’s Brother James Shares Touching Message on Instagram Amid Cancer Battle

Now that the word is out about Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, plenty of people are rallying around her, including her family — even the members who don’t happen to be royal. After Kate shared her news on Friday, her brother, James Middleton, took to Instagram to share a message of support for his sister along with a throwback photo of the two of them together from her childhood. They’re so young here!

James shared a photo of him and Kate hiking.

Though he didn’t reveal how old they were when this photo was taken, it looks like Kate is in her early teen years. Today, James is 36 years old, about six years younger than his royal sister.

“Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too,” he wrote in his caption.

The comments were filled with messages of support.

The response to James’ post has been huge, with his followers chiming in to leave their own well-wishes for Kate.

“So much love and respect for your entire family. Princess Catherine is beloved beyond measure,” one person wrote.

Another comment shared, “Catherine is very lucky to have such a wonderful supportive family. All of us in the royal watcher community are praying for your sister and the whole family.”

Kate shared the news of her diagnosis on Friday.

In an emotional video, Kate revealed that cancer had been found in post-operative tests after she underwent abdominal surgery in January, and she is now in treatment, receiving “preventative chemotherapy.”

Although there’s been so much mystery around what’s really going on in the palace these days, the truth was still shocking to hear.

Others in Kate’s family have been showing their support, too.

Shortly after Kate’s diagnosis was made public, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued a statement of their own to their sister-in-law.

“We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” their statement read.

Kate has plenty of people rooting for her during this time.
