When he’s not playing basketball for the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is usually out expanding his brand in some way, shape or form.

His next adventure is perhaps his most interesting yet.
According to Christopher Vourlias of Variety, Antetokounmpo is set to produce his first feature film. Per the report, the film is “an ‘Ocean’s Eleven’-style heist comedy set in Greece” that is set to begin to film later this year. For now, Antetokounmpo is just known to be a producer, but who knows, perhaps he could make an appearance in it as well.
Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to expand his reach
It’ll be a busy rest of 2024 for Giannis. Not only does he have to prepare for the 2024-25 NBA season, but he will now also prepare to produce this comedy film and participate in the upcoming Olympics to represent Greece. The Greek Freak will be juggling plenty of different tasks this summer.
For Antetokounmpo, the biggest storyline of his summer needs to be getting healthy. He missed the Bucks’ entire playoff run due to injury, turning some off to the idea that he’ll be playing as a member of Greece soon. However, if he’s back to full strength and able to give his all for the Bucks by the start of the 2024-25 season, it will be much more acceptable.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with dipping his toes into different fields, such as producing, as long as basketball remains the primary focus. Given Antetokounmpo’s relentless desire to help get back to the mountain of basketball, that likely will not be a worry. In addition to his basketball career and new flare for producing, it will be interesting to see what other interests he picks up in time.
More details of the film, particularly revolving around Giannis’ involvement, will be reported on here when they are released over the next several months.
Stay tuned for more Milwaukee Bucks analysis.
