Damaged Larry O'Brien Trophy Photo Turning Heads Just Days After Celtics Win NBA Finals - Athlon Sports

Now on their post-title victory tour, Celtics stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum took time at the historic Fenway Park this afternoon to celebrate the championship and show off the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

We’re not entirely sure how it happened – but at some point between winning the Finals and Monday’s stop at Fenway, it appears the Larry O’Brien trophy was damaged or dropped.

Earlier tonight, Celtics executive Mike Zarren posted a photo of the damaged trophy to social media.

“Brief break from draft prep for a night out with Larry! PS don’t worry he’ll get fixed over the summer sometime,” Zarren said.

It seems as though the Larry O’Brien Trophy changed hands quite a few times during Monday’s celebration at Fenway Park.

After Tatum and Brown carried it out to the field before today’s Red Sox vs. Blue Jays game, Celtics guard Derrick White was spotted taking time with the trophy later in the evening.

On the diamond tonight, the Red Sox defeated the Blue Jays 7-6.
