Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were back at practice this week after the WNBA’s season break for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Before heading into the practice courts on Wednesday, Indiana’s social media team interviewed Clark and the rest of the Fever about the Olympic events, and their responses went viral on social media. The Fever’s Instagram post has over 16,000 views, less than one hour into the release of the post as of this writing.
The players were asked, “Which would you be better at: synchronized swimming or gymnastics?”
Clark had a hilarious reply. “Honestly, terrible at both. But, if I had to pick, swimming, because I probably would be less likely to get hurt. Gymnastics, I’m going to break something,” she answered.
The rookie out of Iowa may not be equipped for these specific Olympic events, but she has proven to be one of the best women’s basketball players in the world.

Clark averaged 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game, leading the league in average assists during the first half of the 2024 WNBA season.
The United States women’s basketball team has established veterans with Olympic history, like Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart. Clark was left off the USA women’s basketball team roster for the Paris Olympics, mostly due to the timetable in which the rookie entered the league.
Indiana’s current training camp could help boost Clark’s game, both physically and mentally, helping her gain chemistry with the Fever roster as soon as the WNBA season pause is over.
The Fever’s next game is scheduled for Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Phoenix Mercury.
