Bronny James Settles Caitlin Clark vs. A’ja Wilson, Sue Bird Debate

Bronny James and Caitlin Clark are the two biggest names from the 2024 NBA and WNBA drafts.

Clark, the former Iowa Hawkeyes sensation, was selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 1 overall pick. Bronny was not chosen in the first round but is expected to go to the Los Angeles Lakers with the No. 55 pick to team up with his father, LeBron James.

Before Wednesday’s NBA Draft, Bronny sat down with House of Highlights and played start/bench/cut. He was given three WNBA players to choose from: Clark, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, and Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird. Bronny was quick to make his decision.

“I’m starting Sue, I’m benching A’ja, and I’m cutting Caitlin,” Bronny said.

It’s still too soon to tell whether Clark will achieve the same level of success as Wilson and Bird, but all indications suggest that she’s on track to do so.

Clark has led the Fever to a 7-11 record to start the season. She is averaging 16.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, all of which are top-five for WNBA rookies.

Wilson and Bird have both won multiple WNBA championships. The main accolade that separates the two is the WNBA MVP. Wilson has two MVP awards, and Bird has none, but don’t let that take away from her Hall of Fame career.

Despite suffering a cardiac rest last summer, Bronny still played in his freshman year for the USC Trojans. In 25 games, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.8 rebounds. We may see him teaming up with LeBron in the near future.
