Nole’s next goal could be to win his 25th Slam
Novak Djokovic’s incredible victory at the Paris Olympics has been commented on all over the world. At the last Olympics of his legendary career – although Nole does not exclude to participate also in Los Angeles 2028 – the former number 1 of the world has realized a dream that he pursued for many years.

The puzzle is complete now and many believe that Novak is unquestionably the greatest player of all time. Djokovic has broken almost all records and also beat much younger opponents, finding the incentives to always compete at the highest levels. His next goal could be to win his 25th Slam, so he can beat Margaret Court.
The 37-year-old from Belgrade had hoped to do so at the Wimbledon Championships – where he did not appear at the top of his form due to a knee operation – but was clearly beaten by Alcaraz in the final. Novak will try again at the US Open, which will be played in Flushing Meadows (New York) at the end of August. Meanwhile, it has been announced that Djokovic will participate in the Masters 1000 in Shanghai returning to China after five years of absence.
Nole is very generous
Novak Djokovic shocked the world by winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, an extraordinary achievement for a 37-year-old athlete. The Serbian legend received 200,000 euros for winning the gold medal in Paris but – as reported by B92 – will donate his entire prize money to some charitable organizations of his country.

The former coach of Rafael Nadal and uncle of the 22 times Slam champion says that you have to admire Carlos Alcaraz because you must respect a silver medal won with what he calls “the best tennis player in history”. In his latest article for the Spanish newspaper El Pais, where he writes editorials, Toni Nadal reviewed the Olympic Games in Paris with regard to the Spanish delegation regarding tennis. There were expectations for the double Alcaraz-Nadal but it did not go to medal. In the men’s competition, the medal was won by Carlos Alcaraz who beat Felix Auger Aliassime in the semifinals and then bowed to Djokovic in the final. Carlos Alcaraz was beaten in the final of the Olympic tournament by Novak Djokovic in two tie breaks. A very close match. For the first time, Toni Nadal writes that Novak Djokovic is “the best player in history”.
“The images of Carlos crying on the court – continues his reflection Toni Nadal – with obvious signs of pain and frustration have left us a bitter feeling, but they must not make us think that this is a defeat. He lost a game that could have been in his favor, always giving the best, fighting to the last ball as we know how to do, and holding with breath a whole team that had fun watching him for his great passion for tennis. His silver medal against the best tennis player in history deserves, without a doubt, all our admiration” is the final sentence of Rafa Nadal’s uncle.
Djokovic shocked the world
The former world number 1 has been pushing his weight to achieve this goal, especially after the tough defeat in the Wimbledon Championships final. “I’m overwhelmed with everything I’m feeling right now,” he stated. “Feeling different emotions. Too proud. Too happy. Thrilled with the possibility to win a gold for the first time in my career for my country.
Arguably the biggest success I had. I won probably everything there is to win in my individual career. Winning the Davis Cup and particularly a golden medal at age 37 for Serbia is unprecedented. I’m just starting my celebration. I can’t wait for what’s coming up in the next 48 hours. I’m super grateful for the blessing to win a historic gold medal for my country. To complete the Golden Slam. To complete all the records” – Djokovic added.

Recently, Sebastian Korda revealed that he got closer to this sport thanks to Djokovic: “My dad coached Radek Stepanek. Almost every summer we would go with him to the US Open. That’s honestly the reason why I started playing tennis. I went to the US Open in 2009. I was playing ice hockey as well. My parents said, you kind of have to decide what you really want to do. Radek played Djokovic, Arthur Ashe, at like 10:00 at night. Crazy atmosphere. Went home and decided that was the sport I wanted to do.”
