Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson had a fun response after fellow WNBA star Allisha Gray jokingly tried to get her to pay her fine. The veteran center had the same fate as the guard and comically tried to take advantage of it.
The Atlanta Dream guard was given a technical foul against the Connecticut Sun when there were 8:02 minutes left on the clock in the second quarter. The Dream dominated the Sun, 82-70, but Gray was still fined for her actions.
As for Wilson, it took one more quarter for her to get punished the same way. She got a tech with 11.0 seconds on the clock in the third quarter, which resulted in Dearica Hamby making one of her free throw attempts.

On Monday, Gray took to X (formerly Twitter) to see if Wilson was interested in paying their fines. The WNBA is yet to announce the fines, but they’re aware of the punishment.
“@_ajawilson22 hey Twin, you tryna pay my fine 😂 we both got T’d up on the same day 😂😂😂😂,” Gray wrote.
Wilson reminded Gray of her wins during the All-Star weekend and all the benefits that came with them.
“YOU NEED TO PAY MINE!!!! Where that Aflac money at 😂,” Wilson responded.
Gray made history last month when she won the WNBA Skills Challenge and the 3-point contest, becoming the first player to do so. Each contest paid her $55,000, courtesy of insurance giant Aflac, but it doesn’t seem like she’s trying to touch that money.
Wilson tried her luck with Gray, but she had a clear response to that request.
A’ja Wilson put on a show against the Sparks despite getting a technical foul
A’ja Wilson was on a tear last night, absolutely dominating the LA Sparks of former teammate Dearica Hamby. She scored 34 points on 12-of-20 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. Wilson added 13 total rebounds, five steals and two blocks to lead the Aces to a clear 87-71 win at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
Allisha Gray had a rather discreet game with 11 points, three rebounds and four assists for the Dream, who still came out victorious against one of the best teams in the WNBA.
A’ja Wilson keeps bulking her case for the MVP this season and her defensive performances aren’t going unnoticed either.
