Bronny James is beginning to earn accolades from top NBA players, even as he faces ongoing media scrutiny. After a standout game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out three assists, and blocked two shots, he received commendation from Thunder center Chet Holmgren, who took to social media to praise James’ impressive performance.
“Looked like a total pro,” Holmgren wrote on Twitter.

James, who spent one year at USC before declaring for the NBA draft, has shown flashes of brilliance, including a smooth step-back three-pointer.
Selected as the 55th overall pick, James has faced a mix of highs and lows during his brief Summer League stint but has strung together two consecutive strong performances. In a game against the Hawks on Wednesday, he tallied 12 points, one rebound, and one steal.
Initially, James struggled, scoring only 10 points on 3-of-19 shooting in his first two games. His second Summer League appearance against the Boston Celtics drew comments from Jaylen Brown, which appeared critical of James’ abilities. Brown later clarified his remarks on social media, addressing the misunderstanding.
