Angel Reese has created a massive fanbase over the past few seasons.
Starting with her time at LSU, fans adored Reese for her hard-nosed playing style and authentic personality.
And Reese’s fame has skyrocketed ever since being drafted by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Reese is now rubbing elbows with global superstars, and has her own billboards in downtown Chicago.
It makes a lot of sense why young female basketball players would be Reese fans. And one fan in particular went viral on Tuesday for her wholesome reaction to meeting the “Chi Barbie” before a Sky game.

Prior to a Chicago Sky game, a young fan said, “My plan is for Angel Reese to touch my sweater.”
One moment later, Reese comes through the tunnel and high-fives the fan (who has her sweater around her hand).
“Perfect,” the kid then says. “Now I’m never gonna wash this ever again.”
After the post went viral, Reese replied to the initial post on X by saying, “awww,” with two teary-eyed emojis.
Clearly Reese is making her impact felt on the next generation of female basketball players.
