White NFL cornerbacks are set to make some incredible history in 2024.

The cornerback position is unique in that you rarely see a white player deployed therein. In fact, it’s been 20 years since a white CB started a game in the NFL (Jason Sehorn). In a league boasting over 30,000 players since its inception, there have only been 15 such players.

It’s why 2024 is set to be historic. It does appear as if there will be three white NFL cornerbacks starting in the upcoming season, as Riley Moss (Denver Broncos), Cooper DeJean (Philadelphia Eagles), and Ethan Bonner (Miami Dolphins) are all in line to be starters.

The Aforementioned NFL Cornerbacks All Deserve Their Spots

Considering the above, this is pretty remarkable. And it’s not without merit either; all three of the aforementioned players have shown that they deserve their place in the NFL, with Miami’s Bonner particularly impressive.

He’s already earned the respect of his teammates.

“Ethan Bonner has had the craziest jump from any player from last year. More patient at the line. Using his long arms. He can stay hip to hip with anyone. He’s confident. He’s playing great ball. He really is top three fastest on the team,” Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle told reporters last month.

DeJean, drafted this year, has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but he is expected to play a significant role for the Eagles. The former Iowa star had a standout 2023 season, allowing zero touchdowns on 347 snaps en route to All-American honors.

Moss has also shown out at Broncos training camp and is understood to have established himself as the No. 2 CB on the roster.
