The Rutgers women’s soccer team is gearing up for its highly-anticipated 2024 season, and one player, Riley Tiernan, is gaining steam online for her looks.
The 5-foot-8 senior at Rutgers is going incredibly viral after she took to her Instagram page, where she has more than 52,000 followers, and posted a carousel of pictures.
The first picture shows her turned around, looking over her right shoulder in her Rutgers uniform, while holding on to a soccer ball.
The second picture was much of the same from Riley Tiernan except she had ditched the soccer ball and put her hands on her hip as she smiled for the camera.
The final picture from Riley finally had her turned around to the front as the soccer ball made a comeback.
Riley Tiernan received nothing but compliments in her comment section.
Tiernan is much more than her looks as she is currently tied for 3rd all-time at Rutgers with 24 career assists and a full season of games to play to break it.
Because of her play, she was named a Big Ten Player to Watch for the 2024 season.
Last year, Riley Tiernan was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Third Team, All-Big Ten Second Team, and College Soccer Coaches National Players to Watch.
Riley Tiernan Comes Up Big In The Season Opener
In their 2024 season opener, Rutgers women’s soccer claimed a 1-0 victory over NJIT.
It came after senior Emily Mason scored the decisive goal in the 85th minute.
That was all thanks to a corner kick from Riley Tiernan.
Emily Mason scored her fifth career goal, while Riley Tiernan recorded her 24th career assist, per Scarletknights.com.
