“Best of both worlds.” Call it the LSU superstar’s podcast, song, or just who she is, Flau’jae Johnson is blasting the internet in every way possible. Her playing skills, her music, her appearances in award ceremonies, and her podcast, she is everywhere. However, just because she has her plate full doesn’t mean the Lady Tiger will not make time for other hosts.
The LSU star recently sat down for chit-chat at the Way Up with Angela Yee podcast. Herein, Johnson talked about how she was rooting to watch Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese in action in Paris, which obviously, could not happen. When Yee asked her about her thoughts on the snub, the rapper emphasized that the rest of the players have attended camps and gone through trials.
She further added, “They’ve been doing that for a long time so it’s kind of like they already kind of had a team basically together and practicing. But I think, they [Clark and Reese] could play on that team right now. With the talent they got, they’re obviously two of the top players in the league. So, I think they definitely could have played but we still gonna get that gold. We still dominating. It’s all good.”
Certainly, the 20-year-old is very confident in Team USA but would have wanted her former teammate Angel Reese in the squad. Moreover, she has also not been quiet about openly supporting Caitlin Clark either. Remember how she asked the guard to give her All-Star jersey? Talking about the All-Star weekend, here is how Flau’jae Johnson enjoyed the professional women’s basketball league’s see-off to the national team.
Looking into the WNBA All-Star weekend that made Flau’jae Johnson feel like “a kid in the candy store”
The on and off-the-court star of LSU was all about knowing the WNBA crowd during the All-Star weekend. From performing for the stars to becoming a star herself, the guard who will be leading the Tigers as a junior is already fired up for her future. She, along with Paige Bueckers of UConn, certainly had a blast in the All-Star game where she asked Clark to hit her famous threes and for her signed jersey. While none of that happened, they did take a photo or two together after Team WNBA won over Team USA.
Apart from that, Flau’jae Johnson ensured to become the inner circle member with Bueckers on her side. She told Yee about her experience, “That was the first time that I got to watch a real game ’cause I was traveling so much. I got to see all of my favorite players. I was just trying to meet everybody, I was like a kid in the candy store.” She mentioned how the two talented ladies picked the brains of the WNBA players on how they achieved what they did.

Johnson seemed to have made many friends in the WNBA. However, she still has the huge responsibility of being Kim Mulkey’s right hand. The two-way trouble of the LSU will certainly try to get the better of the opponents and add another National title to her resume.
Stay tuned for more such updates and join us for the exciting second episode of the “Dual Threat Show” as our host BG12 sits down with Georgia Bulldogs star and Mountain West All-Freshman Team Selection, Asia Avinger.
