The Boston Celtics have marched back home, hoping to wrap up the NBA Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 at the TD Garden with some help from the fans. However, some of the fans might step back upon hearing the insane prices of the tickets.

The cheapest ticket is $1,175, and the highest cost is $12,056 for Game 5. According to TickPick’s Kyle Zorn, this makes it the most expensive ticket even in Boston.

There has been a rise in the price as the series is expected to be over on Monday. The franchise and its fans have waited since 2009 for this big moment and when it’s finally around the corner. They wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity of witnessing it.

Boston Celtics have the upper hand in the series with a three-game win. Meanwhile, the Mavericks entered the picture in Game 4 with a dominating performance. However, a win could end their chapter this season.

The Mavericks and their fans would undoubtedly be disappointed to see the Celtics lift the Larry O’Brien trophy. But another fan base would be equally unhappy.

Lakers Legend Backing Dallas Mavs Over Boston Celtics

The LA Lakers have shared the same number of championship trophies with the Celtics, but if the latter manages to get one win against the Mavericks, they would be considered the most successful franchise in the league, leaving the Lakers’ fans in an awful state.

Mychal Thompson, the Lakers’ former player turned commentator, recently said, “I don’t want to have to face Cedric Maxwell if Boston gets to 18 before us. It will be insufferable for me to sit through that for three hours dealing with his ‘I told you so’s.’ I’m going to have to call in sick for the two Boston games next year if they hold on and win this series. So, come on Luka, stop fouling out.”

Besides Thompson, another 2-time champion and former Lakers forward Lamar Odom also expressed that he doesn’t want the Cs to bag the trophy as it would make his former on-court rival, the Boston swingman, happy. “I know Paul Pierce is happy and it kind of makes me sick to see him gloat and be that happy because that team is about to win,” said Odom.

With the NBA experts backing the Dallas Mavericks, they need to bounce back in the series and win the remaining games, which might be difficult but not impossible.
