Xavier Worthy’s mother, Nicky Jones, may not be trying to, but anytime she posts a picture, it goes insanely viral on social media.
Worthy is the pride and joy of his mother, Nicky Jones, and she has been everywhere with him throughout his journey from his upbringing to his days in college and when he broke the NFL Combine 40-yard dash record.
“MY SON is fastest guy in the history of the NFL Combine! #historymade” she wrote.
This week, Nicky Jones is going viral yet again after she took to X, formerly Twitter, and posted a picture of a young Xavier Worthy holding multiple trophies while she held up his jersey. She then posted herself holding his Kansas City Chiefs jersey after being drafted.
Worthy was initially committed to Michigan to play college football but chose to take his talents to the University of Texas. That was a huge decision that would drastically help his career, as he went on to be named a freshman all-American, the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year, and a first-team All-Big 12 selection in 2021 and 2023 via Texassports.com.
The former Longhorns star had 75 receptions for 1,014 yards and five touchdowns during his final season at Texas. That cemented his status as a first-round draft pick.
