On Wednesday, Robbie Chosen was spotted at the San Francisco 49ers practice on a workout to potentially join the team.

Chosen has not played in more than 10 games in one season since 2021 for the Carolina Panthers, when he accumulated 519 yards and five touchdowns while starting in 16 of 17 games. His last truly productive season came in 2020, with 1,096 yards but only three touchdowns.

During the 2022 season, he was dealt to the Arizona Cardinals for a late-round draft pick. Still, he started just two games there until finding himself with the Miami Dolphins, where he once again could not solidify a spot on the team, playing in nine games but not starting a single one.

The now 31-year-old will have to fight for a spot on an already impressive 49ers offense, but with trade talks surrounding star receiver Brandon Aiyuk heating up, that could be exactly why the team wants to see what Chosen has left.

If things don’t work out, though, this could be one of the last times NFL fans hear about Robbie Chosen.

49ers Have Likely Chosen To Trade Wide Receiver Brandon Aiyuk

The 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk trade drama has been one of the hottest headlines surrounding the NFL all offseason. It’s been like a game of cat and mouse, with reports constantly confirming and denying the possibility of a trade.

Now, though, there’s no denying that Aiyuk is likely out the door, with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Washington Commanders being the biggest trade contenders.

Of course, whoever trades for him must be ready to sign him up for an extension that will make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the league.
