THE BBC is planning on releasing the unfinished series of Michael Mosley’s new show, Just One Thing, which he started working on weeks before his ill-fated holiday.
The presenter tragically passed away last week from ‘natural causes’ in 40C heat after taking a wrong turn on a walk from his holiday home on the Greek island of Symi.

The Sun found the dad-of-four, 67, lying in a peaceful prone position just seconds away from reaching help at a marina bar.
Now, it’s been revealed that as a tribute to the star, the broadcaster is planning to release his unfinished TV programme.
The series, which is based on a radio show that airs on Thursdays on BBC Radio 4, investigates what viewers can do to improve their health and wellbeing.
Recent radio episodes saw Michael discussing the benefits of yoga on stress levels, and how eating slowly can improve digestion.
Only three episodes of the audio series had been broadcast before it was revealed Michael had tragically passed away.
Although the TV series wasn’t complete, execs want to air what he’d done as a tribute to him and as a celebration of his work.
A source said: “This was Michael doing what he did best – trying to help people in an entertaining and engaging way that other experts might struggle to do.
“The BBC are now considering how usable the footage they have is and will of course consult with his family.
“But at this stage it’s just too early to be having those conversations when they in a state of utter devastation.”
The TV version of Just One Thing was announced in April and closely followed the format of his podcast which aired on Radio 4 and BBC Sounds.
The show was due to air for ten 30-minute episodes, across the Lake District, Edinburgh, North Wales and Cambridgeshire.
Michael wrote to fans on X, formerly Twitter, in April: “I’ve just begun filming a new series for BBC Two based on my popular podcast series Just One Thing.
“It is surprisingly challenging going from a radio format into a TV one, but so far it’s looking good…”
Dr Michael had recently filmed a Channel 5 series, Wonders of the Human Body – but it is not known whether the programme will air.
The three part series was completed before the TV star left for his ill-fated trip to Greece.
The BBC also confirmed today that they were making a tribute show to Michael Mosley who had made a string of programmes for the Beeb over many years.
Michael Mosley – The Doctor Who Changed Britain will air this Friday at 8pm on BBC One, and look back over his 40-year career.
It comes as a coroner concluded that Dr Michael sat down on a mountain slope before losing consciousness in an official report.
The way he was positioned suggests Dr Mosley chose to lie down as his body was found with his legs raised on a rock without any sign of external injuries.
There was no indication that he was hit in the head or that he collapsed while walking, police sources said.
It appears that Dr Mosley, who had walked for more than two hours and was found in a shaded spot by the wall having taken off his rucksack, was following routine medical advice used to prevent fainting.
The NHS website encourages individuals who are feeling faint to lie down with their legs raised if they are ever feeling faint.
Agia Marina, a beach resort where he was found, was said to be one of the hottest areas in the region.
Symi mayor Lefteris Papakaloudoukas said the island was ” in complete shock”, adding: “We are saddened and in complete shock.
“Everyone wanted to find him alive. It’s been hard, very hard and no one ever thought we’d ever find him where we did, so near to the beach.”
Dr Mosley was tragically found around a 90 second walk and 260ft away from reaching Agia Marina, a beach resort which could have offered shade and water.
His heartbroken wife Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, 67, said on Sunday: “He so very nearly made it.”
CCTV seen by The Sun showed him zig zagging at the top of the perimeter of Agia Marina at 3.44pm, and is thought to have been looking for the gate leading down to the beach.
